About Us

Dunhill Rural Enterprises Ltd. are excited about its Ecolution project.  The idea of setting up an environmental education centre came about early 2000, when the Board of Directors recognised a need and great potential in this field.  Since that time, the company have invested a significant resources, conducted research and consulted specialists in developing the concept which has resulted in project Ecolution.

The ambition of this project is to provide ecological solutions through education, demonstration and research to support and encourage behavioural change to progress sustainability, at home, at work, at school and in the community.

The Centre will provide environmental education for all ages and needs, in addition to training programmes, practical demonstrations, information seminars and special events, including environmental management supports for both business and the wider community.

Environmental education and courses for adults (commencing summer 2008), provided in association with our sister company, Dunhill Multi-Education Centre, are being developed and sourced to suit a broad range of needs and tastes.

Education for young minds and explorers of all ages is being developed to suit tourists & visitors, locals, schools, special tours and groups.  The aim is to provide a variety of fun and interesting learning experiences through Planet Connect, a multi-media, interactive eco-exhibition, including our community garden and integrated constructed wetlands.  Although the Planet Connect project is still in its infancy, we are currently working on environmental education programmes for school visits and tours to our community garden and wetlands.

The building is being designed to high eco-build standards, incorporating Universal Design Principles, to become a centre for practical design research and demonstration in these fields.
