International Trade Conference, 4th February 2014
Dunhill Rural Enterprises Ltd. social enterprise and founder of Dunhill Ecopark held an international trade conference with guest speakers Canadian Ambassador Loyola Hearne and successful international food entrepreneur Paddy O'Callaghan who has established businesses in Canada.
Canadian Ambassador Loyola Hearne spoke about the deep social and cultural connections between the South-East and Newfoundland and how the new Free-Trade agreement between the EU and Canada, expected to be completed by 2015 will yield economic and cultural opportunities for both countries. Artisan food industry and the tourism sector will be key beneficiaries of this new trade agreement.
Delegates include: local artisan food producers, local social and community enterprises, Communities Creating Jobs, Dublin City University, Waterford Leader Partnership, Waterford County Council.
